When Cohasset’s (Mass.) High School junior Anthony Kulturides started playing lacrosse, his career began like most players’ careers begin — by playing in the field.
However, when Kulturides was in third grade, the goalie on his team got hurt mid-game and someone needed to step up.
Anthony’s dad volunteered his son.
“I didn’t want to do it at all. I was crying like, ‘Oh, fine, I'll finally do it,’” said Kulturides. “Then I just started playing goalie and I was pretty good at it.”
He hasn’t left the net since — and he won’t anytime soon.
