Four months after his dismissal as the head coach at Amherst College following a 10-year run, Jon Thompson has been hired as an assistant coach at Air Force.
Air Force director of athletics Nathan Pine and head coach Bill Wilson made the announcement over the weekend that Thompson would join the staff beginning in the 2020-21 season. He will serve as the team’s offensive coordinator.
"A true educator and mentor, Jon is someone I have followed over the years and always held in the highest esteem,” said Wilson in a statement.
