Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, high school lacrosse seasons were cancelled in the spring. Recruiting events and showcases were also put on hold well into the summer.
At the college level, not only were spring seasons cancelled, so was a lot of summer recruiting. The current “dead period” in Division 1 -- which includes no in-person scouting -- has been extended through Aug. 31. In Division 3, the NESCAC announced on July 10 it had suspended live recruiting until further notice.
The recruiting process never sleeps, however, especially for rising juniors and seniors who want to play lacrosse in college. That makes the highlight film more important than ever.
