As Chris Brown (Fairfield, Conn.) progressed through his time at Fairfield Prep, it coalesced with being named an All-American and First Team All-State attackman in 2017.
That same spring, his older brother, Kevin Brown (Fairfield, Conn.), was wrapping up a four-year career at UPenn, which ended with 36 career points.
While the younger Brown was focused on his own development, the elder's experiences provided a window into what'd come for his impending Ivy League career.
"Just from watching his games, you could tell how the pace of play changed," Brown said. "From talking to [my brother], he gave me advice that the first few months of the fall are the most important for establishing yourself. It's a big adjustment period."
