The Wolverines capped off their first Division 1 championship since 2016 -- and their first under coach Margot Spatola -- by taking down host Franklin, the other unbeaten team in D-1, in a 6-5 thriller on Thursday night.
Sophomore Ava Connaughton scored a highlight-reel goal with 13 seconds left in regulation to win it, after a night in the rain that saw Westwood held well below their regular scoring output.
