Winning an MIAA championship is the ultimate goal of any lacrosse player across Massachusetts. In 2021, St. John’s Prep did just that in a dominant fashion.
Two of the key players on that team were sophomores during that run, and this week both of them made their college commitments to different Big Ten teams.
Jimmy Ayers, a shifty, do-it-all attackman committed to Johns Hopkins. It was a surprising choice for several people outside of the process. Ayers was a four-star rated attackman in the 2023 class and this past summer his stock rose even higher as his contributions to St. John’s Prep and 3D New England at the club level were so successful.
