Kenna Kaut was not in the starting lineup for Bryant’s season opener last year against Brown.
Given her role as a freshman the previous season, it wasn’t necessarily unexpected.
She described herself as a utility player, playing midfield or attack depending on the team’s need, and she acknowledged at the time she was “by no means our top attacker.”
It was this game, however — the first of her sophomore season — where she truly felt like she belonged as a Division 1 lacrosse player. While the Bulldogs lost, 14-11, she scored three goals and won four draws.
