It has been an eventful period for Brunswick School since September, with four standout juniors for the Bruins committing to major Division 1 programs.
That is not an odd occurrence for the Greenwich, Conn. prep powerhouse that finished 16-2 in the spring with a top-10 national ranking in the Under Armor/Inside Lacrosse poll. But as the calendar turns over, the list of players heading to the next level is still impressive, no matter where they're coming from.
That group of juniors includes: Coulter Mackesy, an attackman from Bronxville, N.Y., who committed to Princeton; Colin Mulshine, a defenseman from Greenwich who also pledged to Princeton; Lucas Delgado, another Greenwich native who will play midfield for Michigan; and Mario Rinaldi, a defenseman from Westport, Conn., who made his commitment to Bucknell.
There are already six Division 1 commits in the 2020 class, and the four captains — Michael Mauricio (attack/Dartmouth), Brody Firestein (midfielder/Penn State), Liam Fairback (midfielder/Colgate), and Logan Darrin (defenseman/Harvard) — will lead what should once again be one of the more formidable teams you'll find.
