Brooke McLoy’s lacrosse career has had plenty of firsts.
And, now, a pretty significant second.
McLoy (Hingham, Mass.), a junior attack/midfielder at Thayer Academy, became one of the latest standouts from the region to firm up her college plans, making a verbal commitment last week to join the powerful program Acacia Walker-Weinstein has built at Boston College.
“It’s always been my dream to go to BC and play for Acacia,” she said. “I’ve been following them since I was real young.”
And with good reason. McLoy’s mother, Kara, played at BC a generation ago, from 1988-90.
