Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium is becoming one of the busiest venues in all of lacrosse.
Major League Lacrosse commissioner Alexander Brown announced today that the Connecticut Hammerheads will join the league starting with the 2020 season. The club will play its home games on Conway Field at Raffery Stadium on the campus of Fairfield University.
The addition of the Hammerheads brings the number of active clubs in the league to six.
The Hammerheads are the second MLL club in Connecticut. The Bridgeport Barrage were one of the original teams in MLL and played from 2001-2003 before moving to Philadelphia.
The 2020 MLL season begins on May 30.
