Breaking down Westwood vs. Wellesley, 3 other MIAA finals

By Mike ZheJune 20, 2022

Alanna Dumalac and Wellesley, left, face Lindsey Diomede and Westwood for the MIAA Division 1 title.

Will Monday be another coronation for the girls from Westwood High School?

Or can Wellesley do better than its motto of, “Get better every day” – and be great?

The next two days will crown four MIAA girls lacrosse champions at Babson College. The big one is tonight (7:15 p.m.) in Division 1, with second-seeded and defending champion Westwood taking on No. 4 Wellesley.

There will also be anticipated championship games in Division 2 (Notre Dame Academy vs. Bedford), Division 3 (Medfield vs. Cohasset) and Division 4 (Manchester Essex vs. Dover-Sherborn).
