The Boston University men’s lacrosse team was having a good year.

Only there was a sense that with all of its talent and senior leadership, good was not nearly good enough based on this squad’s potential.

So the Terriers decided to talk it out following a 10-8 loss to Lehigh on March 30 that dropped BU to 7-4 overall, as well as 2-2 in the Patriot League. The coaches talked about the game plans and whether they were too conservative. The players talked about needing to play with that sense of immediacy from the opening minutes to the final horn. The team decided as a collective that rather than merely be good, it was going to push the envelope in search of something great.
