To nobody's surprise, the nation's No. 1 team has some of the country's top players – at least according to the 2019 Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
Boston College had four players included in the inaugural group of 50, which was announced Thursday as anticipation builds for the award given annually to the top player in college lacrosse. No other schools from the region had any selections.
Leading the way was senior attacker Sam Apuzzo, the 2018 recipient of the Tewaaraton who, in the process, broke a six-year run by the University of Maryland. She has 309 points for her career through 62 games. The West Babylon, N.Y., native currently leads the nation with 7.2 points per game.
