Boston College is surely hoping the third time's the charm.

For the third consecutive year, the Eagles have booked a spot in the Division 1 women's national championship game, this time courtesy of a 15-14, double-overtime win over fellow ACC program North Carolina. The final is set for Sunday at noon against Maryland, which beat Northwestern, 25-13, in the other semifinal. Both games were held at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.

BC (22-1) has lost its previous two trips to the national title game, falling in 2018 to James Madison and in 2017, coincidentally, to Maryland (21-1). The title match will be broadcast on ESPNU and available to stream via WatchESPN.
