On the heels of historic seasons for their programs, two assistant coaches from the region -- Jen Kent of Boston College and Hedy Veith of Tufts -- have been recognized with Outstanding Assistant Coach awards, the IWLCA announced on Tuesday.

Kent and Veith are joined by Erin Abbott-Gillin from the University of Indianapolis as honorees. All three will be recognized at the IWLCA convention on Nov. 17 in Dallas.

The Outstanding Assistant Coach award recognizes an assistant coach from each division who has made a distinct impact on the success of their program through hard work, commitment, dedication and sportsmanship.
