Before Duke career, Will Frisoli reflects on time at St. Sebastian’s

As Adam White and former St. Sebastian's head coach Ted Weihman watched players go through preseason drills in 2015, one player kept catching their eye.

It was an eighth grader, Will Frisoli, whose older brother, Jack, was already a star midfielder for the Arrows. But there was something about Will, and the way he attacked every rep that couldn’t be ignored.

"I didn't really know him going into tryouts," said White, now the head coach after taking over for Weihman in 2017. "I knew his older brother. His older brother had been on the team. But Will was just making plays all over the field and just never took a single drill in practice off. It was kind of bizarre, actually. Ted Weihman, who was the previous head coach, and I were kind of looking at each other going, 'Is this real? Is this kid really going this hard every time and making all these plays as an eighth grader?' So it kind of felt like we didn't have a choice but to take him (on varsity)."
