The last time the girls lacrosse team from Kennebunk High School lost a game was in 2019, in Maine’s Class A championship game.
After that came a season lost to COVID, then 49 straight wins and three consecutive Class A championships.
Does that place an undue pressure on the players and coaching staff heading into a new season as the streak continues?
According to longtime coach Annie Barker, the answer is both yes and no.
