In the summer before she would enter the seventh grade, Emma Davis’ (Hingham, Mass.) young life got flipped when a new job pointed the family to Nashville, Tenn.
The youngest of four children, the concerns shared by her and her brother, Stephen, included sports, a huge part of their lives since they were little. Stephen is now a freshman defenseman on the hockey team at Boston College.
“It was a big scare for him because hockey wasn’t as big there,” she said, “and it scared me, too, playing hockey and lacrosse.”
