At Bowdoin, the dream season that might have been

Editor's note: This story appeared in the March issue of New England Lacrosse Journal. The NESCAC made the decision to cancel spring sports seasons on March 11, at which time the Bowdoin women's lacrosse team had a 3-1 record.

Surrounding herself with good people is one strategy Kara Finnerty tries to apply, no matter what sport she’s playing.

Finnerty (Hopkinton, Mass.) didn’t just put together an All-American junior season on the Bowdoin College lacrosse team last year. She’s also coming off an All-American senior season on the school’s field hockey team.
