The last of the New England teams have fallen in the NCAA Division 3 tournament. In a game that had over 40 goals illuminating the scoreboard, Tufts faced its own mortality in a 26-15 loss.
In the other semifinal, an embattled York squad eventually capitulated to a very game Union squad, 11-8. With the stage set for Memorial Day weekend, it's RIT vs. Union in a game that will feature two vastly different styles of play.
What can we learn from the semifinal games and which team will have the edge in the D-3 championship that will be played Sunday in East Hartford, Conn.?
