Amonte Hiller reflects on milestone, what’s next at Northwestern

By Mike ZheMay 1, 2020

In 19 years coaching Division 1 lacrosse at Northwestern, Kelly Amonte Hiller has a career record of 300-81. (Northwestern Athletics)

On March 1, Kelly Amonte Hiller oversaw one of the most satisfying wins of her season, a come-from-behind, 25-18 victory over No. 24 Stanford that produced a major milestone.

It was the 300th career win at Northwestern for Amonte Hiller (Hingham, Mass.), making her just the eighth coach in women’s Division 1 to ever reach that number.

“It’s incredible to be in the company of some of the coaches that have that milestone,” she said this week. “I feel lucky that I get to do this every day and mentor these young girls. It’s my pleasure and the winning is a part of it.”
