Acacia Walker-Weinstein, who led Boston College to its first NCAA championship in lacrosse, was honored as the Division 1 National Coach of the Year on Monday by the IWLCA.
Walker-Weinstein was one of four New England who received national or regional honors. Kelly Amonte Hiller (Hingham, Mass.) of Northwestern was named a Regional Coach of the Year in Division 1, while Kristin Mullady of Springfield and Courtney Shute of Tufts were named Regional Coaches of the Year in Division 3.
Sixteen coaches across the country were recognized in all. All winners will be honored at the IWLCA Convention scheduled for Nov. 17-19, 2021 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
