A look at Lila Trussell’s double decision — lacrosse and BC

By Mike ZheNovember 16, 2020

The story Sami Taylor likes to tell about Lila Trussell goes like this.

Laxachusetts teams were having an in-state play day over the summer and Trussell, a 5-foot-11 attack/midfielder who’s tough to miss on the field, got checked in the face and split her lip. Stitches were recommended but declined, at least immediately.

“She went back on the field,” said Taylor. “She scored two goals, came off and drove herself to the emergency room. That’s the type of athlete that she is.”

Trussell (Concord, Mass.) will bring that athleticism and hard-nosed style to Boston College in two years after announcing her verbal commitment last week.
