The recruiting carousel for the class of 2028 is now in full swing.
Girls lacrosse prospects got a head start on their process — their window opened on Sept. 1 — before boys players became eligible to commit to Division 1 programs on Sept. 9.
While the timelines don’t directly align, some similar patterns have emerged from both the girls and boys recruiting windows.
The pace is one of them. We saw a few top girls prospects commit to schools in the opening days, until a wave of decisions was made after the initial week. We are seeing this now on the boys side, as the last few days have been busy as we approach the one-week mark on Wednesday.
Some of the top stars from New England have chosen their schools. Some are still mulling over their decisions. All of this is normal, as college coaches and evaluators have stressed leading into the process.
