WESTON, Mass. -- In the final installment of the analysis of this week's 3D’s Prep Bound showcase at Rivers School, it’s time to shine the spotlight on the specialists.
These are the players who work between the boxes to win the small battles for their teams. Often overlooked and underappreciated, the specialist positions require the most specific skills and these players did not disappoint.
One prep coach at the event said, “Give me a good goalie and a good face-off guy every year and I’ll be happy.”
So with that mentality in place, let’s look at some of the standout long-stick midfielders, face-off men and goalies who attended.
