U.S. men’s head coach Regy Thorpe has named the 66 players who will participate in a training camp in Utica, N.Y., this weekend. The group includes 10 players with ties to New England.
The World Lacrosse Box Championships will take place Sept. 20-29, 2024, in Utica, N.Y. The U.S. men’s box team has won the bronze medal at each of the five previous world box championships.
This year’s U.S. team will be one of the most experienced ever when it comes to high-level box lacrosse. Forty of the players are currently on National Lacrosse League rosters, including second team All-NLL pick Tom Schreiber, and NLL All-Rookie team members Jack Hannah, Danny Logan and John Piatelli (Wrentham, Mass.).
