Rhode Island: La Salle reigns again

By Kevin HenkinAugust 1, 2018

La Salle Academy's dominance continues on for another year.

With a 9-7 victory over Moses Brown, La Salle won its seventh consecutive Division 1 state title. The Rams carried a 6-2 lead into halftime and were able to withstand a three-goal flurry, take control of the game and walk away with the win.

The Quakers’ march to the state title was fueled by a balanced two-pronged attack. The offense was led by standout midfielder Ryan Dobrzynski, who scored a pair of goals in the championship game. LaSalle’s stellar defense was anchored by goalie Nick DiMuccio and standout defensemen Lajhon Jones and Ethan Ennis. Both Jones and Dobrzynski are committed to Bryant, while DiMuccio will play for Quinnipiac University next year.
