For the first time in program history, Reading ends on a win.
After trailing by three early, the Rockets offense stormed back with a strong third quarter to defeat Concord-Carlisle 13-9 and win the MIAA Division 2 boys lacrosse championship. Jack Geiger scored five goals and Michael Tobin netted four.
"I’m so proud of these kids," said Reading head coach Charles Hardy. "We worked hard. We were down ugly again, and they sucked it up. There was no panic in this group. We avenged all three losses that we had. This is the third team out of four that we lost to during the year. That’s a great team. Tom’s a great coach. Concord-Carlisle is a very good program, it’s a very strong program. It’s an honor to have beaten them for a state championship. Tom’s a friend of mine and he’s a great coach."
