The Class of ‘23 is one of the most talented groups in some time to come out of the New England region. Freshmen don’t always get to see the field in Division 1, but there are a number of exceptions that prove that rule.
That applies mostly to positions in the field, but when it comes to specialty positions like a face-off man or a goalie, it’s even more difficult to get playing time. However, one of the true freshmen who could force his way into a starting spot is former Noble and Greenough keeper Matt Tully.
The 6-foot, 190-pound freshman from Foxboro, Mass., is one of four goalies on the roster at Cornell, joined by a sophomore, a junior and a fifth-year senior.
