The opening weekend of the prep school boys lacrosse season included a number of top teams playing in warmer climates down south.
So, while those teams may have missed out on the ice storm that hit parts of this region, they did encounter some frigid results in the scorebook, with the notable exception of Brunswick -- which is looking like a national contender.
Some of the more notable results involved Taft. The Rhinos were tabbed high in nearly every national poll -- and our regional one -- so expectations were high going into the weekend.
Unfortunately, things didn't totally work out.
