McCarthy on ‘Cuse future: ‘Always been a dream’

By many accounts, it’s the current crop of prep school juniors that will land the most awkwardly when the coronavirus pandemic passes and recruiting life returns to normal.

Too old to reclassify, and robbed of critical spring seasons (and possibly summer showcase tournaments), they’ve got the most potential to get lost in the shuffle by college programs that are juggling new recruiting issues of their own.

“They are the class that’s going to take the beating,” said Pingree School coach Kevin Tersolo.

But when it comes to Pingree junior close defender/long-stick midfielder Kyle McCarthy, he seems to be more a guy who gives the beatings.
