WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Legacy Winter Showcase — one of the final winter showcases of the offseason — took place this past weekend at the Union Point Sports Complex.
Even though the day started with some instructional clinics and breakout sessions, the end was what everyone was waiting for — live scrimmages.
Uncommitted players from the Class of ‘25 all gathered and played a series of games against one another on a domed field in front of 20 college coaches from across the region.
The games were played without face-offs — other than to start the game and halftime — to give both teams a chance to clear the ball after a goal and/or create offense on the break for the midfielders. As a result, the action was quick and the goals were plentiful.
