How hard work fueled the evolution of UMass’ Amy Moreau

Prior to her freshman season at the University of Massachusetts, Amy Moreau tried out for the USA Under-19 team as an attacker. She was subsequently cut without much fanfare.

A lot can change in four years.

With support from UMass head coach Angela McMahon-Serpone and assistant coach Jana Drummond, as well as her teammates, Moreau grew as a player and was invited to tryouts for the U.S. Women’s National Team in the fall of 2020 and again invited to an evaluation camp for the USA Lacrosse Sixes team in August of 2021.

Both times as a defender.
