Fall Classic Showcase: These defenders performed the best

By Kyle DevitteNovember 10, 2021

The top defenders at last weekend's Fall Classic Showcase include Brian Delduchetto (28) of Weston (Mass.) High School. (Kyle Devitte)

MARLBORO, Mass. -- This time it's the defenders' turn in the spotlight.

Several poles took the field at the Fall Classic Showcase over the weekend, all of whom have college aspirations. It's one thing to play in the showcase; it's quite another to do well in front of college coaches from around the country.

All three divisions of the college game were well-represented, so the opportunity to be seen for the first time -- or to solidify a position in a recruiting class -- were both attractive aspects.

These are the top defenders from the 2023 and '24 classes at the event. Players are listed with school, club and class year.
