They were already widely regarded as some of the top players from or playing in New England. When the 2019 Tewaaraton Award Watch List was announced on Thursday, those beliefs were reaffirmed.
In all, 12 players with ties to the region were named to a list that's 50 players long. Last year's award went to Yale attackman Ben Reeves, who has since graduated.
Additions to the watch list, as based on performance, will be announced March 21 and April 4. The list for college lacrosse's top player will be narrowed down to 25 on April 25, then five on May 9. That final group will be invited to a ceremony May 30 in Washington, D.C., where the winner gets announced.
