Lisa Griswold Lindley, who has guided Darien (Conn.) High School to 17 state championships since taking over the program in 1994, was recently announced as one of eight new inductees to the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Lindley, who starred collegiately at UMass, will be inducted as a truly great coach. A native of Centerport, N.Y., she has served as the head coach at Darien since 1994, posting a 448-84 record and a winning percentage of 84.2 percent in her 26 seasons.
She has been named Coach of the Year in Connecticut seven times. Under her watch, the program has produced almost 80 US Lacrosse All-America players and over 100 All-State players.
