Newton North to Tufts isn't terribly far to travel. The leap, however, from playing for the Tigers and the Jumbos is closer in distance than it is succeeding at that level.
Playing "pretty much from birth," Bryce Adam had to make the quick trek from Newton, Mass., to Medford, Mass., to begin his collegiate career.
"It was right away," he said. "In fact, I'm pretty sure when I was born and in the hospital and my dad gave me a little wooden stick, and that's kind of where it began."
As a member of the Tigers, Adam played for his father, and his brother was also on the team, creating a family affair around the team.
