Always a New Englander at heart, Bryce Richmond was hiking in 2016, albeit far off in Utah, when he first got the call from his longtime college coach and mentor, Preston Chapman. It was then that he was informed that he would continue his lacrosse career, only this time, as an assistant on the staff at Elmira.
Richmond was young, a graduate fresh out of college, with only playing experience to guide him into what was uncharted territory at the time. Now, he’s ready to make a return to the sidelines as a head coach, tackling the challenge of turning around a boys lacrosse program at Tilton starving for relevance at a school known mostly for its basketball and hockey prowess.
Richmond made his return to New England in 2018 as the assistant director of admissions at Tilton, but always maintained his love for the sport. During his time getting re-acclimated, he worked as an assistant varsity coach under Merrick Smith.
