U.S. Lacrosse announced that it had come up with an official set of approved rules for box lacrosse Oct. 17.
Four days later, Canada crushed the U.S. national team, 19-6, in the Heritage Cup in Ontario, despite the presence of top field lacrosse players such as Paul Rabil and Rob Pannell on the American roster.
The timing may have been coincidental, but the outcome wasn’t.
Nor will the results change anytime soon.
