In this age of COVID-19 in America, never before have incoming college freshmen faced so much uncertainty.

Ben Friedman (Newton, Mass.) got an offer and took next year’s uncertainty out of the equation, filling it with lacrosse.

The former Middlesex School lacrosse goalie and hockey captain is planning a gap year in Israel, where he’ll not only practice with that country’s national team and teach the game to youths at a grassroots level, but potentially try out to play with Team Israel at next year’s U-20 Men’s World Championship in Limerick, Ireland.
