BC High wins first title in dominating fashion

By Marisa IngemiJune 23, 2018

Third time was the charm.

Boston College High school dominated from start to finish to defeat Acton-Boxborough 16-3 in the Division 1 lacrosse championship.

“Coming in freshman year, it was really something special,” senior defender Will Bowen said. “From the start, I knew there was definitely potential for the program. To come all this way, it’s a tremendous thing. It’s a crazy feeling that I can’t even put into words.”

Seven different Eagles found the back of the net as freshman Carter Rice scored three times and Aidan Carroll and Maverick Woods each scored four times. Top defensive prospect Will Bowen won his first state title before heading to North Carolina, earning six groundballs and three defensive runouts.
