Analysis: Why the flow of ’23 commits is starting as a trickle

It’s only been one day, but that didn’t stop a handful of juniors from committing to their schools of choice. While the flurry of activity was still present, there has certainly been a “wait and see” attitude by the overwhelming majority of players. 

When asked how many of his players would commit on day one, a top club team coach in the region said, “Zero. (I) have guys that will be recruited heavily, but all of them want to go on campus visits first.”

Another club director said, “Predictably, my top guys are getting a good amount of love, and the next few are getting a little here and a little there. This year kids can go (on campus visits).”
