With new seasons upon us, we are previewing every D-1 men’s and women’s team in New England, by conference.
This post focuses on three teams that carry the region’s flags in their respective leagues – UMass in the Atlantic 10, Providence in the Big East and Fairfield in the CAA.
None of those teams reached the NCAA tournament a year ago, with UMass and Providence coming the closest, losing in their respective conference semifinals.
Fairfield missed out on the CAA tournament by one spot.
