On this week’s episode of New England Lacrosse Journal’s “Chasing The Goal” podcast, hosts Kyle Devitte and Jack Piatelli were joined by former Cornell coach and current PLL Chrome assistant Matt Kerwick.
Kerwick’s coaching career has been long and varied. He’s been an assistant and head coach at the Division 1 and Division 3 levels. He was also a big part of Hobart’s D-3 dynasty playing for legendary coaches Dave Urick and BJ O’Hara.
After a stint at Cornell, Kerwick is now a part of the PLL’s Chrome franchise, where he will help to reconstruct an offense that will have to replace a lot of players who retired in the offseason.
The Chrome have the No. 1 pick in the draft: Could the new NCAA D-1 leader in points Chris Gray — the former North Carolina and Boston University standout — be the first brick in the rebuild? Kerwick will be a part of making that decision.
