SMITHFIELD, R.I. --- The '27s are at an interesting point in their lacrosse journeys.
Some are already committed to college programs and are fine-tuning their skills for one final scholastic season, while others might still be pursuing opportunities at the next level. Some players might even do a post-grad year.
It makes events like the PrimeTime Fall Classic that much more competitive, as many college coaches took to the sidelines at Bryant University on Sunday to scout the action.
I focused on two age groups at this tournament: the '28s and '27s. I already highlighted standout defenders and offensive players from the '28s. I didn't spend as much time watching the '27s as I did the '28s, so I combined my standouts into one story. It's just how the schedule played out.
It's also important to note that while there were traditional club teams in this story like HGR, Penguins and Tomahawks, I also watched Bridgton Academy and Reading High (Mass.) at this event. These teams weren't officially fielded by their programs, and they weren't coached by official team coaches. But some high school and prep teams field offseason teams through volunteer coaches to play together in the fall.
Let's dive in. Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.
