The long club season is over for 3d New England, but associate director Pete Sessa is more than satisfied with how his program performed.

From the 2020 to 2027 classes, high school to youth, 3d won 14 tournaments and finished as runner-up in seven.

We wanted to ask Sessa about his 2021 and 2022 teams, though, which finished ranked second and third in the country, respectively. With the 2021 team, 3d won the Big Four Tournament and went 5-1 in both the National Lacrosse Federation and Crab Feast tournaments.

"They just played really well," Sessa said. "They're a super-talented team. . . . Any given tournament, any given game somebody else just stepped up and played really well."
