Boston Cannons players Matt Poskay and Paul Rabil have been named to the 2010 Great Atlantic All-Major League Lacrosse Team.
The All-MLL selections were based on votes submitted by the general managers and head coaches of the six MLL teams.
Poskay has been named to the Great Atlantic ALL-MLL team for the first time. His 45 goals this season not only lead the league but place him in a tie for fifth place all-time on the single-season goal list. He also led the league with 52 points this season. Poskay was the winner of the Major League Lacrosse Warrior Offensive Player of the year award and was named the Bud Light MVP. Since entering the league in 2006, Poskay has scored 140 career goals and 160 career points.
For the second straight year Rabil was selected to the Great Atlantic All-MLL Team. Rabil scored 21 goals, eight assists and 37 points in just 10 games for the Cannons. Last year’s Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year and MVP scored an impressive six two-point goals during the season, tied for second most in the league. Rabil was a member of the gold medal winning Team USA in Manchester, England, at the FIL World Lacrosse Championships.
