Quinzani 2nd in MLL Rookie voting

Boston Cannons attack Max Quinzani (Duxbury, Mass.) placed second in Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year voting to former Duke teammate Ned Crotty (Chicago Machine).
The award was based on the votes submitted by the head coaches and general manager of each of the MLL’s six teams.
Crotty drafted by the Chicago Machine with the first overall pick in the 2010 Major League Lacrosse Draft.
Quinzani was the third pick in the draft by the Cannons.
Crotty finished with 37 percent of the awards total votes. Quinzani and Parker McKee (Old Greenwich, Conn./Duke) of the Long Island Lizards finished second in the voting, each receiving 20 percent of the total votes.
Crotty received four first-place votes, the most of any rookie. The next highest amount of first-place votes went to McKee, who had three. Quinzani received one first-place vote.
Crotty has scored 11 goals with 13 assists for 24 points with the Machine.
In seven games with the Cannons, Quinzani has 14 goals and five assists for 19 points.
