U.S. men to face Australia on Friday

The United States is scheduled to play its first game in the 2010 FIL World Lacrosse Championships on Friday, July 15 against Australia.
The U.S. men’s national team includes five members of the 2006 team that finished as runner-up to Canada at the world championship: Ryan Boyle, Kevin Cassese, Ryan Powell, Matt Striebel and Kyle Sweeney. Boyle, Cassese and Striebel were also members of the gold medal-winning 2002 U.S.men’s team.
Since the first recognized international championship in 1967, the U.S.has won eight gold medals, most recently in 2002.
Members of the U.S. men’s national team include: attack Drew Westervelt, attack Ryan Boyle (Boston Cannons), attack Mike Leveille, attack Brendan Mundorf, attack Ryan Powell, midfielder/attack Ned Crotty midfielder Kevin Cassese, midfielder Kyle Dixon, midfielder Stephen Peyser, midfielder Paul Rabil (Boston Cannons), midfielder Chris Schiller, midfielder Max Seibald, midfielder Alex Smith, midfielder Matt Striebel, midfielder Matt Zash, defenseman Joe Cinosky, defenseman DJ Driscoll, defenseman Eric Martin, defenseman Ryan McClay (Boston Cannons), defenseman Shawn Nadelen, defenseman Kyle Sweeney (Boston Cannons), goalkeeper Brian Dougherty and goalkeeper Adam Fullerton.
The U.S.team is led by Bryant head coach Mike Pressler.
