NE players shine at Adidas National Classic

The 2010 Adidas National Lacrosse Classic was held July 5-8 in Maryland.
The New England team went 4-0 in pool play and easily won its quarterfinal contest before falling to Washington, D.C., in the semifinals, 8-7 in overtime.
Maryland went on to defeat Washington, D.C., to win the national championship.
Members of Team New England included Andrew Basler (Chelmsford, Mass.), Nick Baxter (Boxford, Mass.), Nicholas Capalbo (Cumberland, R.I.), Mitchell Chapman (Oshawa, Ontario), Samuel Davis (Pittsfield, Mass.), A.J. Enchill (Pittsfield, Mass.), Edwin Foster (Medfield, Mass.), Kyle Guilbert (Walpole, Mass.), Philip Hession (Canton, Mass.), Reed Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.), Dylan Leone (Tewksbury, Mass.), James Loughlin (Hanover, Mass.), Ryan Macri (South Hamilton, Mass.), George Mazarakis (Montclair, N.J.), Cody O’Donnell (Smithfield, R.I.), Taylor Pirie (Hamilton, Mass.), Ryan Poirier (Warwick, R.I.), Daniel Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.), Drew Simoneau (Manchester, N.H.), Zachary Tarallo (Northborough, Mass.), Grant Whiteway (Billerica, Mass.), Maxwell Wildes (Kennebunk, Maine), Ben Willett (Portsmouth, R.I.), Tyler Williams (North Hampton, N.H.) and Sean Young (Oakville, Ontario).
New England’s Davis and Loughlin were both named to the all-tournament team.
In addition, several players from New England were on rosters for different teams in the tournament.
John Wadlinger (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and Andrew Richardson (South Hamilton, Mass.) were on the Northern California roster, Jordan Saunderson (Winchendon, Mass.) was on the Rochester, N.Y. roster, William Smith (Dover, N.H.) was on the Syracuse, N.Y. roster and Stephen Dodd (Old Greenwich, Conn.) was on the Long Island, N.Y. roster.
